Uttar Pradesh TET Examination 2026 : Short Details

UPTET Primary Level (Class 1-5)
  • Candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline—who have either passed the D.El.Ed (Final Year) examination or are currently appearing for it—are eligible to apply.
  • Alternatively, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks, or a Master’s degree in any subject, along with a B.Ed degree (either passed or currently in the final year of study).
  • Furthermore, in accordance with NCTE regulations, candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree with 45% marks—or a Master’s degree in any subject—along with a B.Ed degree (either passed or currently studying) are also eligible.
  • Additionally, candidates holding a 4-year B.El.Ed degree, with a minimum of 50% marks in their 10+2 (Intermediate) examination, are also eligible to apply.

UPTET Junior Level (Class 6-8)
  • Must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks, and must have passed the B.Ed or B.Ed (Special Education) examination, or currently be studying in the final year of such a program. OR
  • Must have successfully completed a 2-year BTC training program in addition to a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree. OR
  • Must have passed the 10+2 (Intermediate) examination with a minimum of 50% marks and completed a 4-year B.El.Ed course. OR
  • Must have secured at least 50% marks in the 10+2 examination and obtained a B.Sc.Ed degree. OR
  • Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 45% marks, or a Master’s degree in any discipline, along with a B.Ed (passed or in the final year), in accordance with the standards prescribed by the NCTE.
